Let it Go: Bed Linens

Lets keep this PG and just agree that sometimes the sheets don’t come clean. After some trial and error here are some sheets I love. Our units are in Florida and these are so soft, lightweight and wash up beautifully many times. Two rules on sheets that we have developed for our rentals:

  1. No orphans. If there is a stained/damaged top or bottom that needs to go, both go. Hunting for pairs is not a good use of anyone’s time.
  2. A minimum of 1 backup set per bed plus one backup set per unit. This can save a lot of time for quick turns/flips.

The sets are $20 and we replace a set about every 6 or 7 rentals. We added $10 more to our cleaning fees and are stress free about sheets. Letting it go feels great!

This series is designed to reduce stress in the lives of our vacation rental owner readers.

One of the first things we learned as vacation rental owners is that if we let the myriad of potential stressors get to us, we would soon be crying in a corner every time a renter wanted to bring their children. The age old wisdom of picking your battles holds true for vacation rental owners as well and we wanted to share some of the philosophies and techniques that have allowed us to let the (truly) unimportant things go.
