Rugs and Floor Blankets

There are many types of rugs, area rugs, kitchen mats, door mats, and bath mats to name a few. Rugs may seem like simple floor coverings, but they can do a lot to bring a room together. The color, shape, and most importantly, feel of a rug can add a layer of comfort to any room. The following is a list of rugs that we have used and absolutely loved.

 Bathmats

The most important quality of a good bathmat is that it absorbs water without mildewing. Other details, such as colors, comfort, and design are all useless if you have to throw out the bathmat every time a guest takes a shower. Here are our two favorite bathmats:

Doormats

Everyone loves a pretty or witty doormat. We use doormats at both the front and back doors of our rentals so that guest coming off the beach or from the driveway have a place to wipe their shoes.

  • Scrollwork Doormat: We love this one, it looks beautiful and it is surprisingly heavy duty.

Kitchen Mats

Kitchen Mat

Cooking can be hard work, and often involves being on your feet for hours. Invest in a cushiony anti-fatigue kitchen mat that will withstand spills like this one.

 Small Area Rugs

Protect your feet from cold stone floors with a scattering of small rugs that provide warmth, color, and style to any room.
Small Rug

  • Orange Rug: A bright and pretty accent, shown above.
  • Lilac Trellis Rug: Very pretty and washable
  • Lilac Rug: Beloved by guests and cleaners alike, these rugs are incredibly soft and easy to wash.

 Large Area Rugs

Area Rug

Area Rugs are what brings a room together, and there is such a wide variety of styles it’s hard to find a room a rug won’t enhance.

Rug Pads

Rug pads are very important. They keep your rugs from slipping and add an extra layer of padding to cushion your guest’s feet. Pick up some rug pads for any rug on a slippery surface and you’ll be happier for it.
